Johnstone Burgh were dealt their biggest defeat of the season as they were thrashed 4-0 by Shotts Bon Accord at Hannah Park on Wednesday evening.
Burgh manager Murdo MacKinnon made nine changes from the side that lost 1-0 in Sunday's semi final against Largs, with only captain Del Esplin and midfielder Malky McDonald keeping their places in the starting XI.
The game got off to a slow start, with neither side able to get on top and only a couple of half chances falling for the home side in the first half.
The hosts came out firing in the second half, and were a goal up in the 52nd minute when Rico De Marco was left unmarked to head in at the back post from a corner.
Their lead doubled two minutes later when Burgh centreback Alan Cook attempted to clear Ally Martin's cross but inadvertetly sliced his clearance into his own net past debutant keeper Calum Law.
It was 3-0 on the hour mark when Robbie Torrance scored in similar circumstances to the first goal, as he knocked in from close range after finding himself unmarked from a corner.
The home side, knowing that goal difference could be a factor in their fight for survival, weren't content with just three and captain Ally Martin made it 4-0 with a quarter of an hour to play as he swept home from the edge of the box.
Half Time: 0-0
Full Time: 4-0
Starting XI: Law, G McCann, Thomson, Cook, Menzies, Esplin (C), Smith, McDonald, Lafferty (MacKenzie 63), Young (S McCann 63), Mason (Kerr 77)
