Match Preview: Johnstone Burgh vs Rutherglen Glencairn

All the info ahead of Saturday's WOSFL First Division clash against Rutherglen Glencairn.

The Match:
On Saturday, we return to Keanie Park to take on promotion hopefuls Rutherglen Glencairn. The match kicks off at 14:00.

Weather:
The forecast looks dry, so we anticipate no concerns over the pitch this weekend.

Form:
Burgh are suffering a dip in form at the moment having lost three of our last four, with our only victory coming on penalties against St Cadocs in the Scottish Junior Cup Quarter Final. Defeats against Kilbirnie and Drumchapel in our last two league matches have seen us suffer a bit of a setback in our bid for promotion. However, with so many games still to play, our fate remains in our own hands and we'll be eager to get back on track this weekend. We are currently 9th in the league, with up to nine games in hand on other teams in this division.

Our Opponents:
Rutherglen sit 8th, one place and two points above us, having played five games more than us. Like The Burgh, they've also suffered a setback in recent weeks, and they come into Saturday's match having lost their last five in all competitions. They've also failed to score in four of those, with their only goals coming in their 2-2 West Of Scotland Cup draw with Craigmark Burntonians last month, a match they went on to lose on penalties.

Previous Meeting:
Rutherglen Glencairn 1-0 Johnstone Burgh. Burgh lost by one goal in March last year, when we made the trip along the M8/M74 to Hamish B Allan Stadium.

Getting Here:
By Train: The nearest train station is Johnstone, which is served by trains from Glasgow Central and is approximately 10 minutes walk to Keanie Park.
By Car: We have a car park next to the stadium, as well as plenty of street parking nearby. Post Code is PA5 9PE. If parking on the street, please be mindful of local residents and take care not to obstruct any driveways or access to properties.

Officials:
Our referee this weekend is Chris Hughes, who will be officiating both sides for the first time this season. Chris Hughes was appointed for the first three attempts to play Dundee Downfield, all of which were postponed. We have not been appointed assistant referees for this match.
