Match Preview: Johnstone Burgh vs Cambuslang Rangers

All the info ahead of Wednesday's WOSFL First Division clash against Cambuslang Rangers.

The Match:
On Wednesday, we travel to East Kilbride's K-Park. K-Park will be our third home venue of the season, having played two home games at New Western Park in Renfrew. Wednesday's match will be our first since the departure of manager Jamie McKim and several of his coaching team last weekend, with Tommy Montgomery taking charge on Saturday. Tommy will be assisted by Ross Wilson. The match kicks off at 20:00.

Weather:
The weather isn't great this week, with mostly rain forecast. However, the pitch at K-Park is artificial grass so the game will go ahead. There's plenty of shelter at K-Park to stay dry during the match.

Form:
We're in a poor run of form at the moment and last Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Kilwinning was our fourth in five matches. Our sole point in this run was our 1-1 draw with Rutherglen. Whilst promotion is still in our own hands, there's no more room for error as each game now becomes a must-win. We're currently 10th in the league with 30 points from 19 matches.

Our Opponents:
The Wee Gers are sitting 14th with 20 points from 25 matches. With five games to go, they find themselves in the final relegation place, five points from safety. Despite their lowly position, we know that we cannot take them lightly and should expect the away side to put up a tough fight as they battle to stay in the division. They haven't tasted victory since 13 January, when they beat Thorniewood United 2-1. Since then, they've drawn two and lost six. Their last match was a 5-0 thrashing by Shotts Bon Accord last weekend.

Previous Meeting:
Cambuslang Rangers 2-5 Johnstone Burgh. We last met on 26 August last year. Ally Small gave us the lead after 20 minutes. The lead lasted less than two minutes before Camby pulled level. Shortly after, Brophy had a goal ruled out. We went in at the break 2-1 down, having conceded on the stroke of half time. Four goals in the last 15 minutes gave Burgh a much-deserved victory, with Jojo Gillespie netting from the spot. Then Brophy and Hamish McKinlay scored within 90 seconds of each other, both with cross-cum-shots from the right wing. Dale Simeon then added his name to the scoresheet in the third minute of added time.
