Johnstone Burgh's game against Dundee Downfield was, again, postponed this afternoon. After last week's game was postponed due to a frozen pitch, this time it was the rain that beat the pitch, with the match being postponed 20 minutes before kick off due to a waterlogged pitch. The match has been rescheduled for 06 January 2024, meaning that our home game against Petershill will now be postponed. Details of the rescheduled match will be advised at a later date.

Next week, we turn our attention to the league for the first time since 30 September, when a late fightback rescued a point for the Burgh away to Ashfield. It was a similar story last time we played next week's opponents, Whitletts Victoria, when Kieran Brophy's injury time strike saw us come away from Dam Park with a 2-2 draw. This was only one of three draws that Whitletts have managed this season, as they still search for their first win of the campaign. Burgh will go into the game sitting 10th in the league although, having not played a league match for 10 weeks, we have played the fewest number of games in the league, with up to 6 games in hand on other teams in the division.
