Johnstone Burgh 3-0 Troon

Johnstone Burgh 3-0 Troon

Aaron Mason Takes On A Troon Defender

The first half was a cagey affair, with chances few and far between, and neither side creating anything clear cut. The best chance falling to the visitors, as Sam Jamieson forced a good save from Luke Scullion after he got onto a throughball down the middle.

Half Time: 0-0

The second half was a different story. Burgh came out after the restart and started brightly, taking the lead in the 53rd minute. Danny O'Neill headed the home side in front after a succession of Burgh corners.

As the half went on, Burgh got stronger and looked the most likely side to get the second, as McDonald came close before Cammy Eadie hit the bar, both from corners.

12 minutes from time, Burgh did finally double their lead. Stuart McCann did brilliantly to nod the ball beyond the Troon defender, before cutting it back to Aaron Mason, who hit it into the bottom corner.

And with four minutes remaining, Max Kerr secured the three points when he struck a superb effort with his left foot across the keeper and went in off the post.

Full Time: 3-0

Goals: O'Neill (53), Mason (78), Kerr (86)

Man Of The Match: Danny O'Neill
